Reports are coming in that Patrick Swayze, the star of Dirty Dancing, has passed away at the age of 57 after a 20-month battle with pancreatic cancer.

“Patrick Swayze passed away peacefully today with family at his side after facing the challenges of his illness for the last 20 months,” said a statement released Annett Wolf, his publicist.

The world has lost one of the greats of the industry in the passing of Swayze.
