Silicon Alley Insider is reporting that Lisa Loeb is currently getting ready for a big gig at Google’s NYC offices. Not sure what Lisa Loeb and Google have in common, but maybe its just a way to get some few extra bucks for her baby-on-the-way.

NBC kicked off “The Jay Leno” show last night with a bang … with a 50% higher viewing audience than Jay Leno’s final “Tonight Show.” Reportedly last night’s show was seen by 17.7 million viewers! But those die-hard Leno fans may want to wait a few days before calling this show a major success and I’m guessing a few of those viewers tuned in to see what Kanye West had to say about the previous night’s incident at the MTV VMAs.

For those who care, Kanye apologized for the 3rd time, but this time also said he is going to take time off from his career to think things over. Maybe I’ve been living under a rock lately, but I didn’t realize Kanye was doing much of anything (except Amber Rose) this year.

I’m not sure if there is a better way to promote the upcoming season of House than to feature an almost nude Olivia Wilde in October’s Details magazine … and I’m not blind and see the GQ on the photos, but they will be in this month’s Details magazine (same company owns both magazines). Enjoy!

The lovely 20-year old star of High School Musical, Vanessa Hudgens, graces the cover of this October’s Allure magazine. Even though the issue doesn’t hit the shelves until later this month (September 22nd), according to some people who have already had a sneak peak, the starlette dishes on her boyfriend Zac Efron and own her beauty secrets … but then they get a little more personal and ask her if she’d even do a nude scene for a future role:

Whenever anybody asks me, would I do nudity in a film, if I say that it’s something I’m not comfortable with, they’re like, ‘Bullshit, you’ve already done it.’ If anything, it makes it more embarrassing, because that was a private thing. It’s screwed up that someone screwed me over like that. At least some people are learning from my mistakes.

Its tough to say, but that’s a very good answer to such a tough question. I know that the world (or at least the majority of the Internet) has seen her naughty bits, but that doesn’t mean she has to or feel comfortable taking it off for a role in a movie.

Patrick SwayzeReports are coming in that Patrick Swayze, the star of Dirty Dancing, has passed away at the age of 57 after a 20-month battle with pancreatic cancer.

“Patrick Swayze passed away peacefully today with family at his side after facing the challenges of his illness for the last 20 months,” said a statement released Annett Wolf, his publicist.

The world has lost one of the greats of the industry in the passing of Swayze.

Serena Williams lashes out at umpire during 2009 US OpenAfter watching the US Open Womens Doubles championship this afternoon (Williams sisters won it … of course), I really wondered why the tennis association allowed Serena Williams to compete in the finals after her outburst during the semi-finals a couple days before.

The outburst came after Serena was called for a foot-fault while serving to stay alive in the match. Once the fault was called, Serena decided to share her feelings with the ref (and the rest of the world) and lashed out in a profanity-filled tirade:

If I could, I’d take this ******* ball and shove it down your ******* throat

Serena was then docked a point (which was match-point) which gave Kim Clijsters the win. (Clijsters eventually won the Womens US Open championship the next day!)

So back to today’s doubles match … after the Williams sisters powered to a 6-2 6-2 US Open Womens Doubles Championship, Patrick McEnroe decided to take advantage of the time he had while presenting the trophy to the sisters and ask Serena as many questions as possible about the outburst. After the third or fourth question from McEnroe, Venus grabbed the mic and basically said enough is enough and let the past be in the past.

The real question is … why didn’t the WTA suspend Williams from any further matches in this year’s US Open? I know it wouldn’t have been fair to her sister, but seriously … something needs to be done about this.

kayne2For those who thought it was more important to watch the opening weekend of the NFL instead of the MTV VMAs you missed Kanye West showing off his skills of being one of the biggest douches in the music industry.

Kanye decided the most appropriate time to proclaim his love for Beyonce’s Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It) video was during Taylor Switft’s acceptance speech for winning Best Female Video. Swift was a few lines into her speech when Kanye decided to grab the mic and go in a very short little rant:

I’m really happy for you. I’m going to let you finish. But Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time.

Kanye then handed the mic back to the mortified Swift and walked off the stage. It seemed like EVERYONE was in complete shock on what they just witnessed and then the audience took it upon themselves to start chanting Swift’s name. But MTV decided to add insult to injury and when Swift tried to begin her speech again, they cut away to a crappy promo video they shot and turned her mic off. They then showed Swift being ushered off the stage.

But leave it to Beyonce to give Swift another chance to give her speech when she cut her own speech short for winning Video of the Year and allowed Swift to come on stage and finish her speech. A very classy move.

UPDATE: A ton of celebrities have taken to Twitter to share their anger with Kanye’s antics.

Katy Perry: F*** U KANYE. IT’S LIKE U STEPPED 0N A KITTEN.

John Mayer: Big love to my girl @taylorswift13. A class act.

Diddy: I’m gonna say this, we should always have respect for each other! End of discussion

Pink: Kanye west is the biggest piece of s*** on earth. Quote me.
